Character Name: Sumire Yoshizawa
Character Canon: Persona 5 Royal
Canon Point: 1/14 (after ranking up her social link)
Age: 15
Crime: Identity Theft
Background: https://megamitensei.fandom.com/wiki/Sumire_Yoshizawa
Personality: Sumire is a kind girl crippled by her own depression, anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy towards her twin sister, Kasumi. She does well in school and devotes much of her free time to gymnastics, a sport she's been in since she was old enough to walk. She's very thoughtful and intelligent, looking at both sides of the story with things like the Phantom Thieves-- She even tells Akechi that she dislikes the Phantom Thieves not because of what they do, but because she worries that people will become too complacent, running away from their own problems and depending on someone ese to solve them. Extremely jealous of her older twin sister, Sumire often saw Kasumi as being perfect and effortlessly able to climb up and up the ranks, whom everyone loved and adored. While Sumire loved her sister, she felt like she was dragging behind, constantly comparing them. Instead of focusing on her own strengths, she focused only on her weaknesses and where she lacked, where Kasumi excelled.
While Sumire has proven to be a loyal friend and incredibly hard worker, she tends to start to fall apart easily once doubt and self-criticism come into play. The comparisons between her and her sister got worse following Kasumi's death, and Sumire became obsessed with the idea that no one actually wanted Sumire--They all wanted Kasumi. So the only way to get through was to become Kasumi. Sumire became convinced, thanks to Maruki's interference, that she WAS Kasumi.
However, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't truly become Kasumi, which caused her even more grief, confusion, and bouts of depression. Suddenly her body didn't feel like her own, and "Kasumi" couldn't understand why she couldn't do the moves she sued to pull off so easily before. Unable to accept herself, Sumire had a hard time with her persona at first, and ended up rejecting her true self for a long time until Joker and the others helped her to embrace herself as "Sumire." Though she still struggles with her identity and figuring out who "Sumire" is again, she's determined to see things through and carve her own path as Sumire, not Kasumi.
Sumi's determination--and stubbornness-- makes up a large chunk of her character as well. Once Sumire's made up her mind about something, she'll stick to it until the end. Despite her depression, despite everything, she firmly wants to see the goal her and her sister had be reached, and she won't let anything stand in her way. Even as she's acting as Kasumi, it's still her true feelings when she proclaims that, "I don't care what anyone says about me... I will NOT tolerate anyone speaking ill of our dream!"
So in a lot of ways, while her twin is her greatest weakness, she's also Sumi's greatest strength.
While Sumire herself is normally actually rather shy and introverted, she channels Kasumi's bolder, brighter personality, trying to become not exactly like her sister, but a better version of herself, Sumire, instead. It's a long, hard road, and often Sumire seems to go back and forth between the two, but she's doing her best.
Abilities: A Persona-user and member of the phantom thieves, Sumi can use a rifle and a rapier as her weapons of choice, able to summon them both when she calls upon Cendrillon. Upon doing so will also change her clothes to her Phantom Thief outfit + mask. She can also summon a persona--Cendrillon--that can use special abilities. Sumi's specialty lies in 'bless' attacks and physical attacks.

Sumire is also a dedicated and accomplished gymnast, often in the top 3 during competitions.
Inventory: - Her Shujin school uniform
- Her school bag (it has school supplies in it, a spare ribbon, and a pair of glasses)
- her cellphone
- Gym bag that has her practice clothes in it

Questions: Sumire will be going by either her codename "Violet," "Sumi," or just introducing herself as "Kasumi" so as not to accidentally spoil anyone, as she's still struggling a little with her identity at this point. I don't know if the Powers That Be within the game, ICly, would ever refer to her by name but I'm okay with them/you using any name.
With that in mind though I'll be referring to her as "Kasumi" on all the taken lists and such, again to avoid spoiling people
